Slogan ideas
Evaluation- what I learnt
From this task, I was able to have a rough idea what slogans I would like to have in my poster and what would be needed to grab my target audience's attention. This task also helped me figure out what picture I would like in my poster which will be a combination of Jane and Lucy's face in my poster. Without this task, I wouldn't be able to know what further amendments would be needed in my 3rd draft poster.

Mock Up Plans
Mock Up Plans For One Of The Cursed Poster
Final mock up plan
Evaluation- what I learnt
From doing this mock up plans for my Cursed poster, it allowed to know what format I should be aiming for and the varieties that you could have in poster mock up plans. The reason why I did not change the main image's central position is because I would like the main image to have the main attraction rather than the style and format of the film title, credits and slogan.

Masthead ideas
Evaluation- what I learnt
This task has allowed me to figure out what masthead I would like in my magazine and allowed me to work effectively individually.
Possible magazine pictures
Official magazine pictures video
Evaluation- what we learnt
From selecting pictures to give me some possible magazine ideas, it has given me to think individually much more than deciding what is best for the group. This has also given me the ability to understand what type of mood I am hoping to portray when the audience looks at my magazine and whether or not I want the attention to be focused on the antagonist, Jane, or the protagonist, Lucy. But, what we learnt collectively as a group, is the importance of figuring out what idea we want to have for our magazine from the pictures of the Photo shoot or the film itself.

Photoshop- the making process (Poster)
1st attempt
Commentary
In my first attempt, I had a picture of Lucy which I have dimmed her black in sync with the background. This particular first attempt had given me the opportunity to play around with Photo Shop. Therefore, there was not an excessive amount of editing in my first attempt.Second attempt
In the second attempt, I edited pictures of Lucy and Jane together. I put a crumpled wall which I found online which I overlayed with the picture of Jane. I darkened the parts of her eyes to make the picture flow more effectively. As I wanted to give the same effect the film 'Black Swan' has given, I made sure her iris and eyeballs were seen but not seen in a way that would make Jane's face lose the sinister and sinister effect. I put both the pictures of Jane and Lucy side by side and blended the pictures together by positioning and darkening parts of Jane's hair. Luckily, I have already edited Lucy(protagonist) thus making it much easier to put Jane and Lucy side to side.
I made the title by an online software called 'Title Generator' which it already had a similar format to the one shown in my second attempt poster. But, this was difficult to add to my poster as the poster's background details made it harder to add in on my poster. Thus, I had to watch a Youtube video of 'How To Change a Picture's Background Details on Photoshop' at home to change this. This had successfully helped me thus allowing me to add my title in my poster and I changed the colour from its previous colour of Black to White using a colour tool so it can easily be shown in my Poster.

Poster moodboard
If the slide share document cannot be seen properly, you may look at this online word document. There is a button at the bottom right hand side of the document that allows you to enlarge the document if it is difficult to see.
Evaluation- what we learnt
From researching and selecting appropriate film posters, I learnt the significance of slogans and how it can help make a poster better than it actually is. This enabled me to figure out what the other members of my group thought about the sort of poster I was aiming to achieve as well as knowing what their film poster inspirations were. This research has given me the opportunity as well as the members of my group what Horror film poster has gripped our attention and whether or not we want to have the same ideas put in our Horror posters.
Poster analysis
Evaluation- what we learnt
From this poster analysis, I learnt the key code and conventions within Horror film posters which will give me an idea of what it is needed for me to create my own Horror film poster. The reason why I chose to analysis the posters of these films is because they share similar code and conventions of my own Horror film so this will enable me to understand what type of features within a poster I should hold great emphasis.

Audience- videos
Evaluation- what we learnt
From this audience feedback, we were able to understand what our target audience thinks about our teaser trailer. Despite the comments given to us was not what we expected, this gave us an idea of what they thought of our teaser trailer and it also gave us first hand critical analysis of our teaser trailer.

Photoshop- the making process (Magazine)
Photoshop- Magazine
Pictures- First Attempt
Commentary-
I first started off using Photoshop with lack of understanding of how to probably use the software thus why it was evident how my magazine draft lacks to look like an actual magazine. I experimented with putting photos at the bottom but this had failed to make my magazine looks like an actual magazine.
So, in my second attempt, I dimmed my main cover image by dimming the light using the burn tool in Photoshop which was effective in making sure parts of Jane's(the antagonist) face blends in with the rest of the magazine.
I also attempted to make an actual title in Photoshop by using the text tool in Photoshop. I made sure the main cover line fits with the magazine by enlarging the font size to 56. I also separated the spacing between each letter by making the spacing line to be 7 pts so the spacing would make sure the main cover line is big and bold as well as making sure it fits within the magazine. I also made sure the line spacing of each cover line is more than 2 pts as this would make sure the cover lines are close to each other but not to close to each other that it would leave a big gap in the poster.
With the help of my teacher, she had amended my magazine front cover even further to make sure I have corrected any errors that were evident before. This help allowed me to add any last minute amendments which had helped me produce a successful magazine.

Photo shoot
If you are unable to see the Photo shoot of the Cursed slideshare format, you may see it from this Microsoft PowerPoint online format.
Evaluation- what we/I learnt
From taking these pictures, my group were able to have a diversity of pictures as well as shots that my group can use either for our individual posters and magazines. This photo shoot of my teaser trailer has taught me how important certain shots are in order to make an individual poster and magazine much more accessible and easier to make. This group work activity has allowed every single individual to express their views which has proved helpful due to the effectiveness of the shots.

Magazine analysis
This magazine analysis has given me the ability to understand what the different features that are show in magazines and why it is important for companies to be very specific as to what in this magazines. This task has taught me to figure out what certain features I would like to be in my magazine and whether or not I want my magazine to be conventional or unconventional as what a typical magazine looks like. So, I have to be very careful as to what typography, masthead, strap line, cover lines, main cover line and direct mode of address I would like in my magazine.
Summary of your analysis- what did you find out
From my analysis, I was able to deconstruct the meanings of multiple posters and magazines. This had greatly made me know plays a significant role in various posters and magazines. It gave me an understanding of what masthead style should be in my magazine and what should be the central picture of my poster. The analysis of the posters and magazines have allowed me to understand how multiple features within a magazine and poster have been manipulated in a way that allows many meanings to be transmitted to the audience. This analysis have been greatly helpful thus this will allow me to construct an successful ancillary texts of a poster and magazine front cover for the film 'The Cursed.
